This is an update to the posting we made earlier about the loss of power to one of our data centres in Sheffield. A copy of the original post can be seen here - http://snipurl.com/3m6gn
All customer-facing problems that were caused by the power outage have since been resolved.
The events surrounding the outage have been investigated in detail and a number of measures are being put in place to ensure a more graceful failover to our backup systems should a similar situation arise in the future - http://snipurl.com/3m6ak
We'd like to apologise to any customers who were affected by these problems.

Hi all,
Sorry about this. There's currently issues accessing the Plusnet website and our CSC guys are also unable to get into the workplace backend systems.
The website is starting to come back up now but unfortunately the Java servers haven't failed over so there's no access to signup or faults. It does, however, appear that you can log in to the members centre.
Basically there's been a power failure at one of our server suites in Sheffield and as above some of the servers didn't fail over to the backup location. We''ve got network engineers on site and will post further as soon as we get any more information.
We're sorry for all this hassle, guys.
Thanks,
Matt

Right, services have been restored fully as of about 13:25 so everything is now up and running as normal again.
