Any advice...?

Plusnet forced me to move to EE. My last DD payment, which I believe is paid in advance for the following month's service, was taken on June 18th and the move to EE completed on 25th. Should I be due a refund for the rest of the month? I cannot log on to my Plusnet account any longer and don't want to waste a phone call only to find they won't give me my money back [penniless OAP here!] - the 0800 number is blocked..? I had a the usual "Your Plusnet bill is ready to view" email only yesterday - long after the account was closed and not on the usual day of the month - but it didn't give any figures and nothing's been taken from or paid into my bank account. It really doesn't seem right to be overcharged when I didn't even want to move in the first place. EE started charging straight away so the BT group is getting two payments for the same three week+ period.

BTW, if anyone else is being forced into taking the EE route, they were terrible and I've already closed that account and moved elsewhere.

All this fuss and my shiny new 150Mb full fibre broadband is only just perceptibly faster than my old 6Mb all copper one! The woman at EE said she'd moved from 50 to 900Mb and didn't notice any difference. It's all a con! Well, maybe it's good for really high use households...

Cheers.

You should still be able to login to the member centre (www.plus.net/login) to see the bill using your accountname & password (but probably not using your email address!)

Just to add to the fun, EE - whom you will recall I have already left - have also just sent a 'Your latest bill' email with no indication of how much or when [though they probably owe me a refund too]. And, as with Plusnet, I can't log in to EE, in their case because I don't have a mobile phone, though they know the reason I left Plusnet was that I needed a landline as I don't have a mobile. You couldn't make it up.

I quite agree and want to emphasise that I didn't switch to full fibre for the extra speed but only because I was forced to move from Plusnet. 6Mb did everything I wanted or needed. I could stream HDTV perfectly well for example and it's no different now. Pages do load a little more quickly but I wouldn't have paid extra for that, fortunately the FF is only fractionally more than half the price of the old contract so I've come out ahead, for once!
