Possibly, @Benjack , but on the very odd occasion I've had to involve OR - through my ISP - I have had no real issues. It possibly helps that they employ people who know how to 'cajole' OR into doing the job properly.

I would like to remain with plusnet and upgrade to full fibre.

I am having issues getting wayleave permission (being in a leasehold property and this requiring physical work to the building) from Openreach to proceed.

I thought i had until the end of the year to get things sorted, but i received a letter saying i will be moved to ee at the end of the month.

Is there a way to contact plusnet to say that i dont want EE and that id like to stay as i currently am until i can sort the permission situation out?

Ive tried two numbers (ending in 3146 and 9123), but just sat on hold music indefinitely. An email address would be useful so that im not wasting my time listening to cheesy pop music.

@Benjack

You could try the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632

Have a look at the following. What does it say for Fibre Priority Exchange (Y / N)?

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

If it's no you could move to what's known in PN terms as Fibre - it's actually a product called SOGEA which is FTTC without a phone service. This would be a short term move while you get permissions sorted out.

However as you're actively trying to go Full Fibre this might buy you time. Have a look on your PN Members page and see if there's any Open questions about the "forced move" - if there are reply you wish to stay with PN.

https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=search

You're not going to be able to stay as you are, but as noted by Brian, call them - although probably not the best time on the weekend. Try during the week.

They will work with you as I had someone who had a second property in London but were unable to get to it (for the fitting of fibre) until later in the year. They agreed instead to switch it immediately (it took a few days to happen) to SOGEA over the existing FTTC connection.

Ran the check, it says yes, which i think i already knew that i can get full fibre.

Its trying to get permission to make alterations to the building (attaching something to outside, making holes in the wall) that im having difficulty with Openreach for.

Tried your number, just stuck on hold again. Guess ill try a bunch of them during the week

Cant see sogea as an option to request, just full fibre options

It's the narrative below the results window that matters - does it say Y / N?

If it's Yes then that's why you won't see any SOGEA options - though the results may say Exception under the SOGEA column. Also, if it's Yes then PN can't transfer you as OR will refuse the order!!!

The reason is that with a priority exchange OR will not accept anything other than Full Fibre orders without good cause.

Even if you took the option to move to EE , it would still have to be Full fibre as your exchange is Fibre priority.

You do need to contact Plusnet and discuss the fact that its a listed building...

No, you have been given advice to contact Plusnet to discuss options.

If you do nothing, then yes, you will be 'forced' to migrate to EE.

Also, there isn't 6 months (as such) because this is a phased switch that has been going on for more than a decade. Openreach can't (couldn't) suddenly move 16 million lines in one day on the 31st January 2027.

Its not a listed building.

Its a leasehold where someone else (a company in this instance) is responsible for the shell of the building.

They want wayleave permission. I have gone to OR to get said permission, filled out 1 form 4 times, and another once and got nothing from them.

This has been going on for over 2 years, so hoping it to be all nicely resolved in less than a week is probably too much to ask for

In any case, with a couple o honourable exceptions, those monitoring it have no visibility of account details, and their standard response (not their fault, but the way management have decided the forum will 'work') is to direct you to call in.

Unfortunately, because all queries now go to whichever BT call-centre and agent is least busy, you quite often end up talking to someone with little experience working from a script - which doesn't help the customer one bit.

I asked before but are there any Open questions on your account that you could reply to?

Is there an Open Order showing on your account?

Is the leaseholder willing to sign an agreed wayleave? The results you posted show an overhead feed so externally potentially only one new entry point required. There is however normally an external box though in certain circumstances this can be indoors - see attached picture. This may depend on whether or not the engineer has one in their van.
