I am a new customer and my first bill, covering the period from 11th April to 10th May, was issued for £0, as I had made an upfront payment of £29.99 when signing up.

A new bill has now been issued as of 19th May, showing a total amount due of £38.99.

As @mwwagain says , it looks like a part month.

From what you say , it seems like your original billing date was the 11th but for some reason has changed to the 19th , did you change it ?

You pay a month in advance so the bill on the 19th May covers the unbilled period from 11th May to 18th May and then the month in advance from 19th May to 18th June. The two charges and discounts on the bill cover each of those two periods. So effectively this bill is for a month and 10 days i.e approx 133% of a normal monthly bill.

I believe I have been overcharged?

I am a new customer and my first bill, covering the period from 11th April to 10th May, was issued for £0, as I had made an upfront payment of £29.99 when signing up.

A new bill has now been issued as of 19th May, showing a total amount due of £38.99. When I review the charges, I can see that my Full Fibre 900 package appears twice under monthly charges: once with a charge of £15.60 and again with a charge of £51.99. There are also two promotional discounts applied, of -£6.60 and -£22.00 respectively. With a brought-forward balance of £0, this leaves an outstanding total of £38.99.

This is confusing to me, as when I signed up, all of my welcome emails and accompanying documentation stated that my total monthly amount would be £29.99. I am therefore unclear why I am now being charged £38.99 and would appreciate some clarification.

What date did your service actually start ?

Might be something for a part-month, and/or a router ?

I completely forgot that I'd changed the date! 😅 I moved the Direct Debit to come out a couple of days after I get paid, so that totally explains the extra charge. Thank you, that saves me a phone call to Plusnet.
