@oreius7 I think it’s unlikely! A few years ago my referrals were transferred from one account to another due to a house move but there was no gap in service.

An interesting point about referrals. Plusnet are not surprisingly contacting customers who have a phone service and are nearing the end of their current contract and ‘persuading’ them to move to EE with the impending demise of PSTN.

A consequence of this is the loss of referrals but of course the [telephone] customer remains in the BT group, so no loss to the group – just the referrer!

I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that CSA’s are on commission for successful transfers so in effect the referral payments are being taken from the likes of me and paid to Plusnet/EE staff!

That’s life I guess.

Hi,

I was with Plusnet for 20 years and built up a decent referral discount. Then I moved house and had to go to EE for a year 😒 to keep my home phone number. Now I've dropped the home phone and have gone back to Plusnet. I had to create a new username, but I wonder if there's any chance of transferring my referrals discount from my old account. It's still sitting there, and I have access...

Cheers, Ian.
