You can register an interest with openreach for Full Fibre here https://www.openreach.com/

If like me you should receive an email when Full Fibre is available at your address, I had already ordered it before I received the email.

Locking into a new contract before FTTP reaches my address?

My initial deal has just ended and prices jumped a lot. I think there is a reasonable chance that my property will become eligible for FTTP in the near future as OpenReach are extending.

I don't want to get trapped on FTTC so my questions are:

if OR do install FTTP will it automatically be available through PlusNet, or do some providers like BT get early access?

If/when PlusNet can offer FTTP, should I expect to be able to easily switch package even though I'm in a contract?

Thanks.

1) As PN use the Openreach network, once it is available, and showing as such on https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL , or https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome for your phone number/address , then you should be able to order it through PN.

2) If you switch to FTTP with PN, this will automatically cancel your current contract, and you will move to a new fixed-term contract for FTTP.

If OpenReach FTTP comes to your address then you can upgrade to it at any point in your PN contract. It does require you to start a new contract and you lose your phone line if you still have it.
