End Contract early fees

Hi All
Plus net still don't offer full fibre to my home in my area . However this last month a new company has installed super fast broadband ,but Plusnet can't access there equipment. After literally years & years of being with Plusnet on broadband and mobile services it's time to say adiós and move on to another provider much the same as we were reluctantly forced to do with our mobile contracts. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway my question is ! What will I have to pay in total to leave next month ? With an end contract date of November 14th 25 ,. Currently paying £25.99 a month broadband only with no phone line . 12 month contract taken out Nov 24.

@alcorn63 it will be slightly less than the monthly payment * no of months left on your contract.

To get an accurate figure you will need to call Customer Options (COTS) on 0800 013 2632 and select the 'thinking of leaving' option.

Hi thanks for the prompt reply ,much appreciated. The reason I'm asking on the community forum ,is the last week I've called 3 times and I might add also today,and there's a 45min waiting period to talk to customer services.

There isnt usually a long wait on the direct COTS number.

I'm afraid only COTS can give you a figure for ETCs.

I've certainly been offered this by my local AltNet to encourage me to join their service - without them asking how many months I had remaining on my (then) Plusnet contract, or how much I would be likely owe in ETFs.

Who is this company ? - so we can help you with checking their terms and conditions for paying ETFs.

I hope the new service isn't "super fast" !

"Superfast" is generally considered as 30Mbps to 100Mbps
"Ultrafast" typically covers 100Mbps to 1Gbps.

Company is Voneus ,3 different speeds available now in our village.

Here we go with the sarcasm 🤷‍ Yes I did bother looking and yes obviously I read the company information that is provided as I always do before I commit myself to a contract. Also for your information I spoke to their agent today . And to date he's not mentioned or offered to pay my contract exit fees with Plusnet ,he's also not offered or made me aware of any discounts or offers available to date . I Initially posted to the community asking what fees I would need to pay to exit my existing Plusnet contract ? . Once I establish this cost , I can then start negotiating and finding out what discounts are available before deciding whether to take on a new broadband provider.
