@mattmole Its not been possible to get multiple public IP addresses on a residential connection for a long time now, and since its no longer possible to request a static IP on new residential accounts, I'd be prettys sure that the asnswer is no.

Sounds like your router is capable, does segrating your internal network into 2 VLANs not provide sufficient isolation ?

Hi,

I work from home and the work I do is quite technical. I work in IT and have to have my IP address whitelisted for some of the services I connect to. For security, it would be better if I could have my work devices on their own external IP address.

Is this possible please? I currently pay for a static IP address.

I have a unifi router, which is capable of being configured accordingly and my wifi system would allow segregation of devices to their own internal network, which I can then route to the second external IP.

Thanks in advance

One option is to use a L2TP tunnel to provide a set of static IP addresses over any connection. I use AAISP's L2TP service to get a static IPv4 and block of IPv6 addresses. That costs £10pm, but there is a business version that can provide a IPv4 /29.

I'm also a Unifi user, and VLANs can provide the type of topology you want.

Edit: one big advantage of using a L2TP tunnel is that it works over almost any connection - so you can keep the same static IPs even if you move ISP or use 4G/5G. Ideal for a failover setup to provide resilience, or even temporary remote working (while on vacation?).
