@GaryWilliams You can't, Plusnet do not supply them. They may have done on Business accounts but they have gone.

I thought it was illegal to charge vat and not supply a vat receipt.

There's no legal requirement to provide a VAT invoice unless both supplier and customer are VAT registered.

So @GaryWilliams are you VAT registered ? If so your Business may request one by talking direct with Plusnet.

My understanding is that Plusnet only supplied VAT invoices for their now closed business customers.

Trying to make sense of it all. My understanding is that if YOU are a. VAT registered company you can demand a VAT invoice from a VAT registered supplier.

Plusnet T’s and C’s specifically state:

2. Your use of the services

2.1. You must:

2. 1.3. use the services for personal use in the UK (so don't use the services to run your own business, but a couple of work emails or occasional home working are okay) and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy;

Yes, but if PN won't supply / allow broadband to registered to a business then that's a moot point.

Sorry, that was the point I was trying to make. Plusnet are, from my understanding, only obliged to supply VAT receipts to VAT registered companies, but now only supply to private individuals, not companies, be they VAT registered or not.

Hence no VAT receipts are issued.
