Hi,

I received an email from plusnet stating full fibre is now available. But when I click on the upgrade link, the only packages available are FTTC like I currently have.

Is this just the website being slow to update? Any advice apprecitated.

It can take a while for all addresses to update on the OpenReach database. Also, while FTTP is in your area the newtwork build may still be on going.

Use the following to check.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

You're looking for WBC FTTP in the left hand column. If there, what does it say to the right. There may also be a narrative about FTTP below the results window.

Thanks Brian.

It is showing as FTTP is unavailable. This is confusing, since I have emails from both Plusnet and Openreach telling me that full fibre is now available to me.

I guess there is some delay, and there may still be some network building as you say.

I will check back periodically. Thanks again for your help.

PlusNet take their queue from Openreach so if OR say Yes, then PN say Yes. I suspect OR simply did an area e-mail once a significant part of the network had been built.

The good news is WBC FFTP shows on the Checker so it's definitely coming sooner rather than later.

If you're really, really keen on the faster speeds I would check daily - if not, then weekly.

I assume you know it signals the end of your copper phone line service.

Hi @mezzz

To rules out that it is not a Openreach database error for your property, have you used the BT wholesale checker to see if your neighbours have FTTP available?
If the lack of FTTP affects more than you, then it is likely that Openreach have not fully rolled out the new FTTP provision.

Regards
Richard
