I have called to see what could be done.

Currently paying £28.99 per month for 80/20 FTTC internet.

Normal renewal price is £24.99 (getting rid of the landline).

They offered when I called a grand reduction of £1.50 per month, "after talking to a manager", because I have been a customer for a while, on a 24 months contract (doesn't seem negotiable).

Not impressed, as people like Shell Energy currently offer the same package for around £17 a month (if considering vouchers etc.), and it's only a 12 months contract.

Not sure why I should pay PN around 38% more for basically the same "plain internet connection" product...

Renewal offers?

Hi,

I have been with Plusnet broadband (FTTC) for 3 years now. Paying £28.99 a month.

Renewal offer is £24.99 (without a telephone line) which is not too bad, but with a 24 month commitment. I am not too keen on 24 months since would like to move to full fibre once available in my area.

I see other providers can offer the equivalent of £17 a month over only a 12 month period.

What can I expect if I call Plusnet to regociate?
