Plusnet sent me 2 Hub 2 routers in error. I need to return one.How ?

I went to the https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/returns/ link (most useful) which said:

If you return your router to us, we'll take any working parts from it and see if they can be reused. We'll dispose of the rest of it in an environmentally friendly way.
Just go to our Royal Mail page to create a returns label.

... but then I also looked at the 'recycling' drop-down.

Electrical waste is one of the fastest growing environmental problems, so if you're unsure what to do with your old router don't just throw it away.

You can use a site like Recycle Now to find your nearest electrical recycling centre, who'll be happy to take any old router off your hands. Check out their site to find an electrical recycling centre near you

... on which page I looked up 'electrical items' and 'other items'. Reason being (a) had taken PC keyboards to a nearby (council) recycling-type depot (long back, now) and been dismayed to see the staff there throw them into the non-recycling skip, and (b) have a couple of other items here I was not sure how best to recycle (old, but electronic-type components).

What happens to your recycled items?
Once we've got your item, we'll give it a once over. If we discover it still has some life, we'll attempt to resell it or give it to charity.
Come in-store with your old, unwanted tech, and we’ll recycle it for free. It doesn’t matter if you bought it from Currys or elsewhere.

If you bring an old PC, tablet, or mobile in-store for recycling, please remove all personal data beforehand.
We do also offer an in-store data wipe service.

In July 2007, the government introduced new rules to help reduce volumes of untreated waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) going to landfill, and to control its treatment. To comply with these rules, we only sell electricals and electronics that can be recycled, as indicated by the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin which appears on them.
Even if your old electrical appliances or technologies don’t bear this symbol, the good news is we'll accept them for recycling.

We recycle batteries, too
In every one of our stores, there are battery recycling bins, which you can use to deposit old AA and AAA batteries, computer and mobile phone batteries, and watch batteries.

Well I didn't know all that. I'm guessing other people might not, also, so thought it might be worth posting here.

... meanwhile delighted that I finally know where to take a significant quantity of (expired) energy-saving lightbulbs and a very old scanner that did some sterling service in the early days of building the website.

Usually I'd use freecycle for giveaways but with the speed that tech moves at these days, some things are probably beyond being used again.

It's rather good that Currys PC World has this service. I had absolutely no idea. Random

Thanks, but, the router is new, Sent in error for new account after I had already received one and set it up. It's in the box as it arrived, unopened. There's a return address on the box, but I'm not sure if that just sends it for recycling. It's Supplies Depot, ....Northallerton and I want to make sure it goes to be used as new, not recycled.

@Stella-32 I don't know, but I suspect the label printed from the link I provided goes to the same place. In any case, as they will see it is unopened, it will be returned to stock.

Select 'Received multiple devices' as the return reason.

For avoidance of doubt: we will restock any returned items that are in unused condition. The Royal Mail Click and Drop service linked from the Plusnet website can be used to do this.
