Correct procedure on switching to Community Fibre?

Hi.. my contract with Plusnet comming to an end. Community fibre offering faster speeds at £10 cheaper

1) Anything to look out for with Community Fibre?

2) What is the correct procedure to switch? Just inform Plusnet and let contract run out then sign up to Community Fibre? Or just inform Plusnet and sign up to Community at the same time? Is there no porting code like on mobile phone numbers? What's the notice period to cancel?
