Due a refund after cancellation

My contract end on the 15th December, i cancelled my contract before this date.

Days before this i had been charged nearly double my normal monthly rate.

When I asked the person on the phone, he was abrupt and said if there was money i owed that would contact me.

I am due a refund and would like this sorted please

Final bills are produced 21 days after the service has terminated. At that time any balance due will be returned by the means by which the account was paid. If the account was paid by direct debit, cancelling the direct debit authority will delay repayment of any monies due.

Thank you, I have not cancelled the direct debit. It would be nice if i had been told this by Plusnet when I asked them.
