My line rental saver ends this month, currently paying £20, means next month bill will be additional £19.99

And your point is? We are are all in the same boat except some will pay more for Line Rental, depending on when you took out your fixed price contract. LRS is no more.

That is the case - but you won't need to fork out c£200.00 up front.

Is your broadband contract up for renewal at same time as the LRS finishes, if it does then you can negotiate a new contact which includes the line rental, at a lower combined price usually.

If not then you can still ask for a new contract for combined line rental/broadband.

That's a bold assumption. If the Line Rental is £19.99 then @Madhatter007 must still be in contract. Any new deal will include Line Rental at the new higher price plus there will be CPI increases applied to the new contract.

Current offers are around £22.99 and include the line rental for 18 months plus possibly a £50 reward card and yes the every year CPI+3.9% increase.

I was asking @Madhatter007 if *his* broadband contract was also up for renewal, if so he will be able to get a new deal., which would be less then £20+£19.99 he will be paying.

Reading it again I get your point. £39.99 is a ludicrous amount to pay unless there are other add ons in this price, such as a call plan.

But if @Madhatter007 is out of contract the Line Rental will be more than £19.99. Methinks we haven't got the full story.

I am still in contract until next May but don't want to renew to another 18 month as City Fiber starting FTTP build and next 12 months hopefully get better speeds.
I've jumped ship to VF anyway as got cashback and with the LR savings, early termination isn't toouch.
