Calls from landline to 0774 and 0771 numbers

Would someone explain please,why I have been charged to call 0774 and 0774 numbers when I have anytime international 300 with mobile.Do these numbers carry a premium charge?

As far as I'm aware it appears that 0771 or 0774 numbers aren't actually UK mobile numbers.

Can you confirm that the people you've called have a UK mobile phone?

I thought Ofcom defined the UK mobile ranges as

Ofcom's national telephone numbering plan specifies UK mobile numbers start 071xx to 075xx and 077xx to 079xx, with, additionally, 07624 being one of the many prefixes allocated to mobilenumbers based in the Isle of Man.

The BT price list ( http://bt.co.uk/pricing/current/Call_Charges_boo/1631_d0e5.htm#1631-d0e5 ) classifies 0771 and 0774 as either fm1 or fm5. The range seems to be allocated to O2(fm1) and Vodafone UK(fm5).

My mobile number (originally on O2) starts with 0771.

Hi Gandalf,as far as I can ascertain from the BT call charge list,these are UK Mobile numbers charged at fm1 rates.Since I noticed this happening to my bill,other mobile numbers have shown up and I have been charged,even though I have been assured by SammyM that that would not happen due to my new contract including mobiles.At this rate I am more than a little unhappy about my new contract.I use call divert to my mobile,mainly because of urgent calls relating to health matters concerning my wife and I.This is fast becoming the farce of the year,smiffy was right in his last post about this.Please advise what will happen next,I am waiting for a refund,but understand that is not with me yet as it takes 5 working days.

My work number starts 0771 and is definitely UK. Was originally issued by Vodafone, but has been around the block with providers over the years, all in the UK.
