If someone pulled the plug on the Internet today many of us would be fraught with nervousness. Not only would it stop a lot of people from doing their day job, but it would also prevent many us from carrying out menial tasks such as researching a new recipe, planning a holiday or keeping a very close eye on our bank accounts. Yes these can all be done without the Internet but they are a lot easier with it!
Over the past twenty to thirty years the Internet has developed rapidly starting with dial-up Internet then moving onto broadband, Wi-Fi and fibre optic broadband, and now we're into a realm of connected homes and the introduction of G.fast in just a few years time.
