How to raise IP profile from 7K to 8K

Hi
Could someone advise me how to raise my IP profile.
I am achieving 9224kps at my modem but only getting around 6.2- 6.5 on my computer.
Apparently this is because my profile is set at 7kps where it should go up to 8kps
How can i get my profile up to 8kps ?
Thanks in advance
j
Latest  BTspeedtest below
Download speed achieved during the test was - 6223 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :9224 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 444 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7000 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 12.34:22.32:65.34 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.
The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.

Re: How to raise IP profile from 7K to 8K

Patience is called for. The BT Wholesale DLM will automatically change that IP Profile, but you have to wait from 3 to 5 days (maintaining a sync above 9088kbps) for that to happen. BT Wholesale then pass on the changed information to Plusnet and Plusnet's copy in the Data Centre (Current line speed) is updated. All the steps should take place automatically.
