Sync and Profile (Again)

I have been syncing at 4540 for some while now yet my BT/PN profile is 3500 and not 4000 and indicated at Kitz.
Latest BT Speedtest:
Quote
Download speedachieved during the test was - 3319 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :4540 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 920 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3500 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 17.57:21.69:60.74 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.
The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.

I'm on 21CN. How can I get my BT profile and, hence, speed to rise that little bit?

Re: Sync and Profile (Again)

Please could a mod kindly put this in the ADSL2+ (21CN) Forum as I may be more likely to get a response?
Thanks.

Re: Sync and Profile (Again)

I have changed the DSL Mode on my Netgear DG834G from Multimode to ADSL2+ and have now synced at 5334 Up & 896 Down.
Att: 45
Noise Margin: 6
Latest BT speedtest:
Quote
Download speedachieved during the test was - 3164 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :5333 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 896 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3500 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 13.97:20.86:65.17 (SBE:NBE:PBE).

Is the BT profile, in time, liable to rise to match the sync and, therefore, I can request a rise in the PN profile?
According to Kitz I could get a profile of 4500.

Re: Sync and Profile (Again)

If your BT IP Profile rises the PN current line speed should automatically rise within 12 hours. Only if this fails do you need to request intervention.

Re: Sync and Profile (Again)

Just wondering why some BT Speedtest results reported in this forum show an acceptable range of 1000-99999 Kbps while others show it as 600-7150 Kbps.
I have noticed that even those with a sync rate of above 8000 can still show the lower acceptable range.
Why is this?

Re: Sync and Profile (Again)

Since I've been on ADSL2+ my acceptable range shows as 1000- 99999 no matter what my speed is.    When I was on up to 8 Mb's Max broadband it showed as the lower range, so I suspect the higher range only shows to those of us on ADSL2+.

as well as the acceptable range, sum will see the above QOS test and some wont. ive not seen it on any of my tests since april and this line even has elveted best effot on it. not the same as the above qos but you would think a line with what is a paid for QOS option would be more likely to see the above test
