Has anyone come across a problem where your 360 starts struggling to read games?

I just picked up Fallout 3 and Forza 3 and it took a couple of times to load Fallout (the first time it thought it was a DVD) and Forza just won't load because it keeps thinking it's a DVD.  No RROD, just dodgy cd reading.

I've tried standing it up, but that doesn't make any difference.

I might have to go shopping at the weekend and see if there's any deals on the Elite.

i think he use to pre warm the xbox before starting it, use to take the mick out of him getin in from work and placing his box in front of the 3bar fire  Grin .

some good deals on the elites at the mo or you can buy my 20gb spare box of me, its bein to germany allready but am sure a gd price for it can be arranged  Smiley

Thing is, this is after it's been on for an hour or so already.

It's been behaving like it's been giving up for ages to be honest, the odd random crash on Prince of Persia used to be really annoying.

I feel money may be spent this weekend Tongue

I had a go on DJ Hero on an XBOX. Didn't like it.

I'm looking quite forward to playing it adie, mainly for the soundtrack more than anything else. Having played a few venues as a DJ in the past though (and still being in possession of my trusty 1210's) there's not the same appeal as there is/was with Guitar Hero (as I can't play a guitar to save my life!)

I play guitar and love playing guitar hero, I didn't feel quite the same satisfaction playing DJ though.

Used to dream of having some 1210's....

anyway back on topic. James buy a PS3  Tongue

Getting a PS3 isn't much bloody use when you've got 20 odd X360 games.

Its quite a common problem, happened to few of my friends. Just keep restarting and eventually it should start reading.

Tesco are doing 360 elite plus 3 games for £190 if you need to get a new one. I saw it at the bus stop yesterday, comes with Need for Speed shift and two others, can't remember what they were.

You could wait until xbox start using the superior blu-ray player that you get in some other games consoles... I can't think which one that is right now  though Undecided
