Outbound proxy is now natproxy.plus.net:5082. Not sure that you should have  STUN enabled when using an outbound proxy either...

Puddy has a PAP2 I believe and I'm sure he'll be around soon to give the definitive answers.

Here we go sorry for the delay in posting

If your not sure if your Pap2 adapter came from i.e ebay don't do a restore because the adapter could lock itself back to Vonage network

Kind regards

Puddy

Thank you Puddy everything seems to be working again, my old settings would ring out but no one could here me speak at the other end sorted now. Cool

Out of curiosity which firmware version are you using I'm currently on  3.1.15(LS)  Mine is also a PAP2T as oppose to PAP2 if that makes a difference. The Linksys support site has me going round in circles looking for firmware.  Grin

By the way no need to worry about resetting this was a £30 Uk new pap not an ex locked one. I did look at them on ebay at first the Hong kong models for about a tenner but not knowing much about this kind of thing got a genuine one in case I had problems, I wouldn't mind a couple of them to use at work, have you had any experiance with these type?

I don’t have a pap2 adapter anymore I use my Nokia E65 or N95 for VoIP calls now.  One less device to carry around!

I have introduced a friend to VoIP he lives in Spain so can call me free, he gets an unprotected internet wireless signal from his apartment he saved a shed load of money it’s just like having a free English telephone account/phone but in Spain. His mum  can call him without putting in the 00 44 she just dials his STD VoIP number and pays 2p per minutes and he does not have to pay for incoming call when in Spain

My neighbour just brought my spare nokia e65 to make calls via Plusnet  he said it’s great to have an extra phone line free.

Are Plusnet still offering an extra number free if you charge the account with £5?

kind regards

Puddy

Shocked WOW check out the prices for PAP2's these days, mine was new roughly £30 ish at the time and the unlocked Hong Kong models were about a tenner. Looking now you'll be lucky to get a HK one for under £20.

This is probably the first bit of technology I own thats went up in value I even remember people on ebay selling these in bulk. Doh

I have been buying up speedtouch 716wl routers on eBay for 99p each plus £5 p&p in the summer and have sold a few on Amazon for £25 and sold 5 on eBay buy it now for £17.50 each and some of my friends have brought them for £15 each I installed them for free and set them up with a VoIP account.

You cannot get a 4 port wirelees adsl 2+ and 2 built in voip ports any cheaper so they were happy.  Sold a few Nokia E65 too so wait until Dec before advertising it will be to late for anything from HK to get here for xmas then

Prices are going up now for xmas period so I hope to sell a few more
