So slow....

Speed has been so good for so long but the last couple of days lucky to be hitting 1MB
Paranoid me wonders if this is related to the sign up for longer at a reduced rate, maybe not such a good deal after all???

Can you post:
1) result from http://speedtester.bt.com/
2) stats from your router, such as synch speeds attenuation and margin
3) line speed from here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed

Looking at your upstream and downstream speeds - are you on the Tiscali LLU connection as this would explain why Plusnet have you at 8,000  which is not possible on your sync speed

As you are on LLU the BT tester won't work
As the reps are in short supply this evening I am not sure what we can do. You could raise a ticket but this would need to be addressed by the networks team and they don't normally work weekends.
I know it is a pain but could you hold off until Monday when we should have more reps on board.
P.S You will see I have modified your router stats picture to hide the security related information

I didn't open your belkin.jpg until after Oldjim modified your router stats picture to hide the security related information, but I did then!
In the Internet Settings I see you have the WAN subnet mask set to 255.0.0.0 which should be set to 255.255.255.255 if you have only a single IP address with Plusnet!  They couldn't issue a block of IPs large enough to need your WAN subnet mask!  (The LAN settings subnet mask 255.255.255.0 is correct.)
So, I'd correct that, save the settings and reboot the router and see if it makes any difference. It might, it might not! But it'll be right!
If you have your WAN IP address set to 'obtain automatically', and it is being issued a subnet mask of 255.0.0.0 there must be a bug somewhere!

Well thanks to you all for your help and just to let you know speed now back up to 6MB, not through anything I've done though!!
