metronet option2

hi
i have been with metronet for quite a few years now
i pay £13,75 most months but occasionally it goes up due to downloading i suppose (although i very rarely download anything)
when i first joined i had to pay £60 installation fee (i think) and also provide my own router.and also have to pay for e-mail address.
and am now getting speeds quite low something like 2.8
now i see that the option 1 with plusnet gives me more benefits that my metronet account
giving me 8meg speed and download limit of 2 meg for a lot less money
what  must i have to do to go from metronet account to plusnet account seeing they are now as one

up to 8meg. Remember your speeds may be very similar.

Also I think that the PlusNet and Metronet packages have their traffic managed in a different way, might be worth checking up on that before you switch if you think it might cause you issues.

If you want to move you need to open a PAYG dial-up account with PlusNet here and add a credit card to the payment detail section (for the first broadband payment) and set up a direct debit if you want to.
You then raise a ticket on your Metronet account requesting a move to PlusNet (stating the package you wish to move to).  You need to state the username for the Plusnet account.
The PN dial-up will be upgraded to broadband and you'll be given new login details for your router.
The whole process took about 24hours when I helped my mother-in-law move.
Remember that PN bill in advance for the basic allowance on your package and not in arrears as Metronet do.  The credit card detal is required so that the first month's subs can be taken without waiting for the direct debit to be set up.
