New skin bugs and tweaks

I've started a new thread to put any little thing you spot for us to clean up.  Try and be nice and specific.

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

- Unread posts / replies to your posts page has the first column very cramped.
- report to moderator option and signature not very tidy on posts.  Could be displayed better.
- no easy differentiation between more popular blog posts on front page.

Kelly & Jonny,
As discussed, on the front page it would be nice to see some form of differentiation between the start and the end of each forum and blog post.

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

Browsing between the other tabs (home, blogs, polls) shows a login link in the top corner, trying to log  back in then transports you to the forums no matter which tab you were currently looking at. Once you browse back to that tab it shows 'login' again.

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

If you are reading a forum post (like this one) and you click on the Community logo at the top left it just refreshes the forum post, instead of taking you back to the community front page (which I expected it to do).
On the home, blogs or polls tabs it works fine, on the forum tab it just refreshes the screen you are in.
Mark.

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

Does PN do any QA before releasing or do they rely on the community to do their testing?

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

When posting a comment on a news item or blog the returns are taken out. Example:
"Test 1
Test 2"
becomes:
"Test1
Test2"
See my latest comment on the TalkTalk lawyers blog.

Also from Neils comment in his blog, the link he's posted at the end runs off the page.

The new forums have been available for testing for ages and discussed at great length in this very forum!

Still can't see a key for the colours used for the active users, an example where I mean is below.

That's an oversight which will be added back at a later date.

So what I have pointed out was not picked up by 'available for testing for ages and discussed at great length in this very forum!'.
Does PN generate specifications and test scripts for the software they produce or is it a suck it and see approach. If you ask your users to feed bugs and comments then I suggest they go for the latter.

Colin
The login at the top issue looks to be exactly the same problem as I had with the Wordpress SMF integration on the beta forums. Is it pointing at the right databases? Is it only people who have recently changed their passwords that are affected, would changing our passwords get things back in sync again?
