The title says it all.
First noticed it this morning about 9:30.
Computer switched off all day and just switched on and unread posts still shows none - obviously incorrect
This can be ignored as removing all the Community Site cookies and starting fresh seems to have solved it

Problem is back again.
it seems to be related to having the login time set to always and overnight something glitches and I don't see any new posts.

I'm not seeing any problem - two pages of unread post posts this morning. I have login time set to always.

Working good for me in Firefox too.

Not that that is very helpful.

Oh damn - looks like I will need to do some playing with IE7 and Firefox to see if I can sort it.

Done some more checking using IE7 and Firefox and it appears that something at the forum end isn't working properly.
This is the latest screen shot. The date of the earliest unread post is the date I first connected to the forum this morning and I have been visiting at intervals ever since.

I suggest you completely close the browser and don't go near the forums for an hour or so. I think it may be because there is some sort of session timeout.

This is actually one of the things I like about SMF: I can be working through the unread posts, get distracted and go elsewhere, come back and it has still remembered the posts I haven't read.

What I end up doing is going in to specific forums, read the posts I'm interested in and then make the forum read.

Jelv,
That seems to have fixed it for the present

Having marked all posts read last night I started my computer this morning and brought up the forum and selected all unread posts - only one timed at 09:22 but looking at the main page I see that there are a lot of new posts - this is getting very annoying
Just to add - according to the computer event log boot up was at 09:19

OK - been doing some further checking.
It all works correctly in IE7 but not on Firefox 2.0.0.6
I have the following cookies in Firefox when connected to the forum (upper picture) and when not connected (lower picture). Do these look correct.
