I have tried to download from Firefox and Chrome. I am trying to download Internet Security. I have also tried Kaspersky, with the same result.

Re: Download of .EXE Files

The program I had installed does not specify which version I am using, but when I run Live Update the current version is installed,
I have tried disabling the firewall.
The problem also occurs with Kaspersky and is not specific to Norton.

Re: Download of .EXE Files

My guess is that you have some program active on your computer that block exe file downloads.  If it's not specific to Norton (or Kaspersky) then it must be some other program.
What happens if you change the extension of the file before downloading so save the file as installer.txt instead of installer.exe then change the extension back after the download has completed?

It's from:
https://manage.norton.com/Rewards/Download?service=manage
although you have to sign in before you can download.

Re: Download of .EXE Files

So it is a single exe file from Norton
What error message do you get
I assume you have done the steps here https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/home/current/solutions/kb20090505145926EN_EndUserProfile_en_us and that you have tried to download directly using the links in it

Re: Download of .EXE Files

Open Programs and Features - look for an antivirus / security suite.
It's clearly terrible, so uninstall it. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, download a half decent internet security package like Kaspersky (I use KIS 2016, just upgraded to the latest version yesterday) and it's very good. Other softwares are available. Windows Defender will give you the most basic of antivirus protection along with Windows Firewall until you install a proper AV solution.
Tip: if you have a Barclays account and use online banking, they have offered free 3-PC licenses through the online banking portal for several years now. In lieu of meaningful interest rates, it's the best benefit you'll get from a free current account... Look for "Kaspersky Offer".

Do you have a popup blocker enabled as this might be causing the problem.

Re: Download of .EXE Files

I use Norton AV and can download the exe file so it's not NAV that is the problem!
It could be the settings, but I think there is something else going on preventing this - perhaps a rogue thingy?
