It looks like we've enabled interleaving on the line which should reduce the errors and stabilise things for you, though I can see there were a couple of drops last night. I believe our faults team are monitoring the connection and will have an update for you on Friday though please do feel free to add further information to the ticket if you need.

Can I have another please?
Looks like the "new" router is no better. I wonder if I try the Netgear again but manually enter the DNS servers?

Although I've seen more stable connections, I wouldn't consider it unstable as such. What problems are the drop-outs causing your experience?

Not sure I understand what you are asking here.
Every time the connection drops I get assigned a new IP, which is a real pain for me. I would have thought the lease time would enable the same IP to be re-assigned if the connection wasn't dropped for too long?
I understand that ADSL isn't as stable as my previous cable connection and that this package doesn't provide a fixed IP, but would have expected connections to last longer than a few hours at a time and the IP to be "sticky". I don't remember this problem a few years back when I was on ADSL with Pipex.

I'd recommend you opt for a static IP in that case if its' important to retain integrity with that as yours is dynamic by nature. That would involve a change of account type for yourself too I'm afraid.

Quote from: _Adam_Walker_ We'd regard a line as unstable if the disconnections were frequent
They are frequent!
ADSL is meant to be an on all the time connection, not one that drops every few hours.
