21CN SNR resets

Came into the office this morning to some good news. It would appear that the ability to reset the SNR/training period on a broadband line has now been extended to include 21CN provisioned circuits! Cheesy
Detail here.

Re: 21CN SNR resets

Bob,
Does this part apply when a reset was done as part of the "no DLM" trial
Quote
CCSNR works by triggering a signal to noise ratio reset and subsequently a maximum stable rate (MSR) and fault threshold rate (FTR) re-calculation. A BRAS profile change will also be performed (if applicable) when the circuit synchronises next time. The MSR will either rise or remain unchanged - it can never go lower.

Re: 21CN SNR resets

AFIAK the MSR/FTR doesn't change when the SNR is reset as part of the "no DLM" trial.

Re: 21CN SNR resets

Dave - is the current 'No DLM' trial essentially the same as the 'fixed profile' trial that took place last February, or are there differences?

Re: 21CN SNR resets

@grahamt It's pretty much the same thing, not sure who this Dave fella is you're referring to though? Huh Wink

Re: 21CN SNR resets

Very sorry about that, Bob. When I was composing the message I was thinking about trials and remembering that we mainly dealt with Dave in February.

Re: 21CN SNR resets

Was one of these resets triggered on my 21CN account - despite there being no (recent) complaints...
My external ip address has been reset a few times overnight...
