Change to Member Centre pages

Any comments on this set of changes - went live this morning Smiley
Beware - access to the portal seems excessively slow today.

Yes, the Deckchairs are much more neatly arranged and are parallel to the list of the Deck.

Nice to see the space on the right, previously empty, is now used. And a picture to make the page less sombre. Smiley

Re: Change to Member Centre pages

I still wish the search default at the top was Plusnet rather than the web.

Re: Change to Member Centre pages

What is worse is that if it searches the web there doesn't seem to be any method of then searching the Plusnet site.
Just checked using Firefox and IE8 and the search is completely broken  Roll_eyes

Unless you have a middle initial because it then addresses you as Name + Initial. e.g, If your name is Fred A Bloggs, it addresses you as "Welcome to your Member Centre, Fred A" who is more likely to be your sister.  Embarrassed

Re: Change to Member Centre pages

Hi gents,
Feedback noted on the default search button.
Wheel_nut
The code will display whatever is put in the Forename field in your account details, which you can edit here if you need to.  We don't store middle names on our accounts (AFAIK).

I can't replicate this problem?
I'm able to select 'plus.net' and search on any page that the search bar is present?

Re: Change to Member Centre pages

I like it ... but I used to have one click to get to these forums and now I have to stop over on the Community Homepage first. Perhaps I ought to take more interest in that, anyway....
Thanks

Thanks Andrew B. I don't know how the spurious initial got into the Forename field on my profile but it is fixed now.

Re: Change to Member Centre pages

Thanks, Oldjim, that's interesting but not very useful for me. It includes posts from all the forums and threads, whereas I only keep tabs on a small subset....  Of course, I could always set up my own shortcuts to particular forums, if I was really bothered....
