I think i'm having some router problems, the light for wireless goes red and my speeds plummet and pings sky rocket.  My sync and router stats are the same throughout.  It must correct itself after a while because it goes back to normal

This might seem a silly question but are you using the wireless link and are you set up securely with WPA2 encryption and a strong password. If not using it, turn it off. The other possibility is locally someone else on the same channel, try changing channel. I don't have any other ideas I'm afraid. HTH.
