I've noticed my download speeds have been really slow the past 2 days (I do have a habit of picking slow torrents tho) so never took any notice, however, today from around 4pm my browsing speeds have been super slow:

Date Download Speed Upload Speed
Today 20:09 383 kbps (47.9kB/s) 237 kbps (29.6kB/s)

I'll do some more checks later to see if the speed improves any, but just wondering if I should go through the Broadband Fault Checker or simply wait until PlusNet resolves the issues they are facing at the mo, and see if my speeds pick up from there.

I like treacle but only on bread not on my DSL line, tonight is particularly bad. Fixed speed of 2mbit but lucky atm on any gateway I've tried to get above 1mbit with sprinkling of packet loss for good measure, gaming is obviously out tonight

That makes sense. The other day I had pingplotter running and over an hour there was something like an 8ms difference in the average between the gateway and the next hop.

My speed never picked up until midnight, and today, I'm finding I am getting the speeds that I usually get.

Date Download Speed Upload Speed
Today 12:38 6583 kbps (823kB/s) 375 kbps (46.9kB/s)

I'll check around 4pm as that is when my speeds dipped yesterday and I noticed it affected some other users around this time.

Portal was really bad for me last night and mtr showed 15-20% packet loss at the gateways inside PN which Bob had mentioned so I didn't post anything in particular.

FB was dying again last night but that might not have been PN as FB have been having problems.
