Info on the next download and update to EvE-Online for anyone who plays.

From the Eve-Online forums:-
Windows Premium users will automatically download a patch that is estimated at 1.5 GB.
The download is in two parts: First the EVE client downloads a small 910 kB patcher application, which then downloads a 1.5 GB data file and patches the current installation.

Windows Classic users will automatically download the Apocrypha install, since a patch from the Classic edition to Apocrypha is larger than the install.
The download is in two parts: First the EVE client downloads a small 1.5 MB install application, which then downloads a 2.1 GB data file and overwrites the current installation.

Windows Classic users can reduce their download on deployment day by upgrading now to Premium, either using the client functionality or by downloading and applying the Classic to Premium Graphics Content Upgrade for build 75883 (Quantum Rise 1.0.5).

Patch day is March 10th (next Tuesday week), regards, Pendragon.

Just to add a bit more info for you, the patcher application seems to be a cut down Bit-Torrent downloader to download the full big patch so uploads may take a hit as well.

For families like us with multiple clients to update there is a ‘manual’ http download of the full client. Until patch day I don’t know the full size but would expect it to be over 2.1 GB probably closer to 3 GB.
