Charges are lower at BT
Quote
If you exceed your allowance, you can still continue to use your broadband and continue downloading content.

If you exceed your usage allowance on Option 1 or 2 for two consecutive months, we will charge you 30p per excess GB starting on the second month. If you regularly exceed your usage allowance, we may contact you to discuss an upgrade to a more suitable Option.

According to ThinkBroadband the prices go up if you go over your limit 2 months in a row full story here http://www.thinkbroadband...-to-rise-to-1-per-gb.html

Option 1 & 2 users need to be careful about exceeding their allowance, since if you exceed it for two months in a row the excess usage charges rise from 58p per GigaByte to £1 per GB.

If you're happy on the package you are on you can just stay on that with a 1 month contract rather than changing provider.
I never moved on to a BBYW product and doubt I'll be moving on to the new products either..

I would jump at the value product, as it would suit my needs well, but for 2 things....

1.. The contract length too long, although I would be tempted if it was 12months. I have been with Plus since the days of BB+ and even when they had major issues, still stayed with them, so as has been previously said, whats the point in loyalty!!!!!
2.. The value product being excluded from ADSL2+.  WHY?Huh?Huh???  if whats been said previously, 21CN pricing is cheaper. I would welcome some guideance from PlusNet here

I think you'll find the BT pricing is changing (upwards) from 1st April.  Lips Sealed

(and there'll be no warning, just a bill for extra GB)

2.. The value product being excluded from ADSL2+.

Has that been confirmed?

Also recall you could be on 21CN and ADSL2+ and either still have a sync speed well below 8Mb or have PN limit the speed to 8Mb.

It's not an entirely fair comparison though as back on the old portal forums the mods would lock a thread and start a 'part 2' after about 20 pages of replies. If I recall correctly, the thread about the spam sent to hacked e-mail addresses ended up in something like five or six such 'parts', meaning there were probably over 100 pages of replies in total.

But I'll bet that you're not old enough to remember what this Console Command did:

Edit: It was the equivalent of turning the lights out on an IBM Mainframe (System 360/ 370). It shut down the system completely!

i am old enough but wasn't sufficiently into programming languages to use it - I started with GW-Basic and a dumb terminal which stored data on punch tape and was linked to a dot matrix printer to see what you typed.
