The estimated go live date of 31st March 2010 and was last updated 9th November 2008.

Then again, there is the prospect of this if anything ever comes of it.

To keep it separate from the Volunteer thread I'll start this one.

No date set for may exchange.

Are BT giving priority to the exchanges where there is competition and ignoring the Market 1 exchanges knowing we have to "Like it or Lump it"?

12/18 month broadband contracts have been abolished - all Plusnet residential contracts (including for existing users) are now 10 days (however deferred charges such as activation or hardware may have to be paid if you leave within a year)

BT have announced a ready for service date for this exchange. The estimated go live date of 31st March 2009 and was last updated 9th November 2008.

The capture shows the amount of LLU isp's at my exchange and looking at the amount there 9 llu isp's makes mine a market 3 exchange and with the enable date not to far away seems to back your theory up.

Moderator's Note: Though this looks like a potential "volunteer" post for the new topic covering dates up to 31/03/2009 a previous post moved from this thread covers that aspect. The rest of the present post is most relevant to its current location. David (spraxyt)

The market 3 exchanges are in the main going to the bigger exchanges so makes more sense to go with those first to increase the 21CN footprint as quickly as possible. Same thing happened when ADSL first rolled out. I haven't checked the full list of exchanges to see how many are market 3 but probably can do.

Had a quick scan of the exchange list earlier and there are a bunch of  market 1 and 2 exchanges, 8 market 1's are due by March 2009 (or already done) with over 50 by March 2010 and several hundred by March 2011. 32 Market 2's by March 2009 (or already done) and a couple of hundred by March 2010.

Would it not be a good idea to say/ask how much we are going to have to pay for ADSL+2  and higher speeds once the triall is over? Lots of people saying "Yes Please" without asking what the cost will be later.
