That's interesting (& odd). Both sip2.plus.net & sip.plus.net resolve to the same two IP addresses. I wonder why the Nokia phones are so particular.

I use my router to do the registration & then register my clients with my router, but the router is quite happy with sip.plus.net.

It was not only my nokia n95 e65 n82 that did not ring also my siemens 460ip dect phone did not ring as well

The gradwell setting in the phones on sip setting registered its only later I found out they did not ring on an incoming call.  I changed back to sip2 and they all work and have held a connection since saturday night

Thanks. I've updated the client configuration sticky and will run a few tests of my own tonight.

OK, just tried using my N95 behind a Voyager 2091.

I used my original settings as can be seen here.

I'm afraid I couldn't replicate your problem puddy. Using sip.plus.net my inbound calls ring on my handset, I can answer the call and two-way audio is possible.

If it's of any use I'm using the Nokia V.20.0.015 N95 firmware.

Puddy, I was wondering, would a second test account be of use for you - It does sound like your infliction could be specific to your current Voip account?

If it's of any use I'm using the Nokia V.20.0.015 N95 firmware.

As I said the owner of a N82 has the same problem also the E65  N95 & N95-8GB my firmware is newer/latest than the one you listed and is debranded generic mobile. sim free and unlocked

You probably will find that the mobile will work for a few minutes then revert back to no incoming calls and no sound.

leave it for a couple hours and it will log off/not ring

I am currently on SIP2.plus.net at the moment and have been out since 5pm and connected back up ok.  See how lon this lasts.
i asked him to try sip2 and it worked

I prefer the bespoke Nokia software to Fring TBH. My N95 works flawlessly most of the time behind my Voyager 2091.

So you have had problems too?

Confirmed that so far the Grandstream 2020 seems to perform fine with the following key settings:

SIP Server: sip2.plus.net
Outbound Proxy: LEAVE BLANK
Proxy-Require : nat.plus.net:5082

I got paxy problem fixed using the sip2 settings

Puddy, I was wondering, would a second test account be of use for you - It does sound like your infliction could be specific to your current Voip account?

i am willing to try a test account but lots of customer on the voip forum have the same problem with the sip/sip2 settings on other phones not just mobile phones so it not just my account

Unfortunately I managed to lose my trusty N95 whilst in Greece Sad
I've an replacement 8GB model winging it's way to me though, so will run some tests with that when I get it.

That I didn't do so I'll try again when the new phone arrives.

So you have had problems too?

With Fring or the N95. The N95 has been pretty much trouble free but it's only used sparingly. I didn't have too much time for Fring to be honest. It was resource intensive and the quality over GPRS was very lacking. The bespoke Nokia software just seems a lot tidier to me.

If you want a test account setting up then give me a shout and I'll see if I can get one sorted.

Ian

Please can you setup a new test account for me asap?

Kind regards
