A Gathering of Geeks ...

« on 26/02/2008, 16:04 »
The jury's still out on what to call a collection of geeks, but in the meantime GeekUp, an open and independent community of tech-minded folk, has been lighting up pubs in the north with lively chat and geek wisdom.

So far Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds have been hit by the buzz.  But what about Sheffield ... Geeks of the Steel City ... unite!?

Let us know what you think in the poll.  If you can think of any suitable venues, post your suggestions below.  The best candidates have free wifi, real ale, enough space for a pecha kucha presentation and welcoming arms to embrace our burgeoning community.

Best

And Wifi doesn't reach Smokers Corner (the official one) (Disclaimer: I was escorting the Mods although why the non-smoker had to I'll never know  Tongue) never mind the Tuns Smiley

Not sure of suitable venues, but It'd be something I'd be interested in as I've been meaning to try and go to one of the other Geekups.
