OK, So I caught the guy trying to hack into my server earlier on, he's been at it all day! Suffice to say, he hasnt gotten in as yet.

Reckon I can get him for attempting to bypass security measures put in place.

Who would I report to, his isp, or PN? Who is gonna be better to handle this...

Im rather angry now!

Well, there has been an illegal act then! His isp is NTL (well, now Virgin Media), I would quite happily post the ip up, but im sure I would be frowned on by PN...

....Even though he deserves it.....

What do you reckon Virgin Media will do?

I wouldn't see a huge problem with putting *his* IP up, but the trouble is, its not *his* it belongs to Virgin/NTL and might be assigned to another customer of theirs at any time, who would then be tarred with the same brush.

For this reason, it would make no sense whatsoever to post up the IP address.

This is true... got an ace up my sleeve though...

When the domain was in my control, I unlocked it for transfer, submitted my epp code, and started the transfer..

He hasnt locked it, and according to openSRS the transfer is still on track Tongue Oh Dear.... Roll Eyes

A quick dig through the archives to find this one.. after he tried to hack the server, I decided legal action was the best option..

Not wanting to get caught up in it myself, I passed it over to one of my colleagues, who worked in the legal department whenever he sent the emails... I will post them up later on today, but the results are quite astonishing...
