The next update to Eve-Online called 'Trinity' will be released for download around the 27th of this month. This is a major update of the client and will be a new and complete download.

No idea of the size yet as I posted this on behalf of my sons who play the game. Best estimates by them are 800 Meg to 1 Gig in total but they have to wait for the release date to find out for sure. If I find out more will update you.

Wow, quite a big update then, certainly one for the radar then.

OK an update from my sons.

The Eve-Online server will go down on the 5th December at 2 AM, it will be back up on the 6th December at 2 AM. The updated clients will be available for download as from the 6th when the server comes back up (all being well  ).

The client is an automatic download for the main graphics engine and then graphic updates will follow as required.

So as there are some 37,000 people all over the world on line at any time, if they all decide to log in shortly after the server comes back on line (and you can bet they will  ) there might be a slight slow down of the general internet in that area while the updates download.
