Full town in 3D on Google Earth from 19th Jan!

Shame that its a project from the local council, rather than an intiative by Google to get the whole world mapped! (Admittedly the scale of the would probably be somewhat too large)

As the first comment on the story reads: How cool would it be to be able to play games that are staged in your own town!

I used Google earth with the "veiw 3d images outlined on the LH index


Just had a look  at Westport looked inside all the houses down the High street, couldn't find Gloria

Also had a look at Eindhoven, only a lousy football stadium and a few skyscrapers in 3D

Sorry but the westport one is much better

That's amazing. You can fly down the streets looking in the shop windows and read large notices posted in windows.

Can't wait for live streaming Google Earth

On geogle Earth navigate to Westport, Eire

On the sub menu on the LH side click the 3d button

Zoom in , the zoom and tilt bars then change slightly to having a white portion in the middle, this is the zoom limit with 3d, I assume you have updated you Google Earth  Huh?
