Re: G.INP

Perhap Openreach should join Billion and get everyone's Billion 8800NL VDSL Router because this router is excellent with no issues at all with speed & latency with G.INP enabled. My parents got ECI Modem (locked) provided by Openreach engineer and G.INP doesn't work at all. Lucky for me, I brought this Billion 8800NL router a year ago and it worked well. Also Billion tech support stated that this router does support both G.INP and Vectoring with the stock firmware: 2.32d.dh14
More details of this Billion router with G.INP found here: http://www.increasebroadbandspeed.co.uk/g.inp
Going to placed an order Billion 8800NL for my parents and get rid of ECI Modem.

Any experience with the Billion BiPAC 8800AXL

I assume this should be good to go for G.INP as well ?

Re: G.INP

I don't own this one. So, I can't comment if this router Billion BiPAC 8800AXL any good or not. This router seem more expensive. I would prefer go for 8800NL because it got better support on the forum with firmware etc on Billion.
But, check reviews here for this expensive router:

Re: G.INP

NL doesn't have 5GHz wifi, 8800AXL does have the 5GHz, goes nice with my galaxy note 4.
I need to look more into 8800AXL before making up my mind.

Re: G.INP

The biggie for me would be GbE.  The lack of GbE is the main reason why I never bought a 8800NL.
I suppose if you have a Gb switch then it doesnt matter, but I ditched my network switch in an attempt to de-clutter my home network and get rid of as many cables/leads/power supplies as possible.

Re: G.INP

The 8800 AXL is G.INP compatible & is indeed an excellent router.  Smiley However, the new 8900 series will be released later this year & may well be worth waiting for.

Re: G.INP

Ive pulled the trigger on the The 8800 AXL which should arrive by end of the week (im working all week) and hopefully I can report back my fifndings end of the week.
I would hold off, but in the past ive had issues with new modems/routers and firmware which hasn't fully matured.
