This shouldn't happen on fibre!!

As the title says, why on a 80/20 fibre profile? Goes along with my other ongoing issues. Have I been put on dial up or something?
This is connected by 1GB ethernet before anyone asks.
Previous reports.

Believe it or not-THIS!!
Not mention the BTW test!
Time to withhold my direct debits until it is sorted I reckon , not paying 20quid a month for dial up speeds at night.

if thats over ethernet and a good router then it looks like a line fault, have you ran the fault wizard at http://faults.plus.net ?

There is one already open,  #81892611.  Awaiting a response.
Mainly happens during the evenings, so the decent connection is achievable with my equipment..
Looks like I'm not the only one looking at the forum tonight.

I've also tried running tap3 as advised elsewhere following the instructions (changing username) but like others it doesn't work! Only get this:
" The server at test3.speedtest.btwholesale.com can't be found because the DNS look-up failed."
Why?

Re: This shouldn't happen on fibre!!

What a joke AGAIN tonight! Why don't Plusnet admit there are network issues a night instead of shrugging their shoulders? Virtually every other post in the evenings complains about the same thing, especially on fibre.
In my case they are sending an engineer round next Monday, can't see why, it's an external issue seeing my connection is ok at all other times.
I'm reporting this to Ofcom saying there are a lot of complaints to Plusnet about severe speed losses at night on fibre.

What exchange are you one ? Maybe it's a lack of capacity to the cabinet or something similar ?

As said many times only happens at night, like so many others on here on different exchanges.

Re: This shouldn't happen on fibre!!

I've checked the gateway you're on and there aren't any capacity issues, we continually ensure we have enough capacity - you can see from http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1393861250.htm as one example of us doing so.
If this happens at peak times, then there could be other people in your area seeing the same issues.
The screenshot you've provided isn't relevant to FTTC as that checker only provides exchange statuses for 20CN and we've not had a regular update from BT on those reports (something we're proactively chasing them for).
I can see we've got you an engineer booked in to have this issue investigated further. There's not much more we can do from an ISP stand point to get this investigated as this isn't something on our part of the network causing this issue. I appreciate it's frustrating and unacceptable that you're getting lower speeds, however, I would ask that you work with us in trying to get this issue resolved. Some faults take longer than others to resolve dependent on the complexity.
We want to get this fixed, we really do but it's not something we can do instantly, we need to work with our suppliers to get this fully investigated to get to the bottom of it.
