Automatic re-sizing of avatars

Another minor niggle;

Its still possible to use a huge image for an avatar, which is downloaded in full and rendered as a smaller image by your browser.

The example I've added to mine is resized and thus appears to be a normal sized avatar, but is in fact a 3.7MB file. Get a load of them on a page, and folks could soon be wondering where all their http useage has come from.

A real pain if folks are having to use a slow connection to read the boards. (Could cost around £4 to view the avatar example I used if you were accessing via Post-Paid Orange GPRS - supposing you could have been bothered to wait for the download!)

One advantage of not using the re-sizing option is that large avatars can be identified much more easily and removed. This way its pretty hard.

That's definitely a problem.

PS - I'm gonna remove the silly size one now that the point has been illustrated. Wink

That's annoying, I can't tell if I've tweaked the configuration correctly or not :-p
