WPS Button?

« on 13/07/2012, 19:26 »
Hello Smiley

Just had BB switched on today, I am using the PN supplied wireless router and am curious as to what the WPS button is for?

Thanks in advance Smiley

It's a method of connecting wireless devices securely to the router.

But doesn't WPS had a bit of a security flaw as detailed in that article and isn't really recommended now AFAIK

It's handy for wireless printers and things like that which don't have a keyboard, but for anything else is a bit pointless imo...

Thanks for the replies Smiley

Something I will probably not use I have my printer connected to the router but by Ethernet, everything else mobile, pads, lappies are all wifi connected the traditional way Smiley

THaks again
