Issues tonight?

Got home and tried sky player which is buffering badly, downlad speed seems to have dropped to 4meg though (bt speedtester is saying it's 16meg) and ping has doubled.
anyone else seeing issues?

Which gateway are you on. pcl-ag03 here. pings to bbc good, in fact b.good don't normally see them as fast as I did, BT Beta test as normal just now, so OK at the moment here.

Bad for me too tonight.  I'm on pcl-ag08.
I have run the BT beta speedtester 3 times and got 15.94, 15.14 and 13.51.  It was down to 5 slightly earlier though.  Speedtester.net has just given me 2.26!  I am also seeing packet loss as well.

Yuk, that's just what I got, but didn't save it. Never had any problems with the beeb one, they must be busy, cos my other tests still ok.

I was much the same.  No HD TV for me according to the BBC!
I have seen this before and it's just network load, when is gets closer to midnight the speeds will get back to normal.  I expect today's status email from Plus saying the network was back in balance wasn't in fact correct . . .

Extremely low speeds tonight, Tuesday 24th April...


Normally 17.77mb/s copper

BBC iPlayer is throttled 6pm to midnight for many users, depending on package.
Tonight, my BBC stats are very low ....

I'm slowing down even more !

Nothing on PlusNet or Status twitters yet.
I've tried 5 other server sites, all similarly low, except for my locals Manchester & Liverpool, which are half my normal high speed.
(This may just be due to the time of evening and usual loading)



Getting back to normal, locally.

Sky just mentioned a footie match had just finished, did streaming this cause slowdown ?

(80/20 line but connected via powerline which usually gives ~ 50 down, 15 up, 25 ping)
