15:55 here, now using 3G emergency backup Dongle.
I lost my PN Internet @ 15:51 exactly !
This on Plusnet tweet, so PN are aware of it. @ 16:03

When I try to use the PlusNet Internet, this is what I get...
As I say, I'm on dongle at the moment.

I think it was a local BT problem, only lasted 5 minutes though.
It's obviously a much larger PlusNet problem at the moment.
I've re-booted my router just to be sure
I do love my emergency backup 3G T-Mobile (free) dongle at times like this, how are you connecting ? Dongle too ?

Would also like to add that nearly everyone whose connection has gone down is calling us right now so phone system is also very busy ^MT

At approximately 4.00pm BT Wholesale suffered an unexpected network outage that disconnected a significant number of our broadband customers.
Whilst most customers should be able to get back online now, some will need to reboot their modem or router in order to re-establish a connection. Also, some customers may notice that they are redirected to BT Wholesale landing pages, in the event of this happening please power down your equipment for 20 minutes before attempting to reconnect.
If this doesn't work, then we suggest you try forcing a connection via the configuration pages for your router.
Due to this outage, the network may be out of balance. However if we do need to perform any intrusive balancing at all we will make a further announcement.
In the meantime we'll leave this particular thread open and we'll provide another update later today.

Poor Chris P ( PlusNet) has just tweeted 26 times in around one minute !!
16:50 Just retried PlusNet, still no Internet.
Router powered down.
Taking the opportunity to run full Sophos Anti-Virus Scan, which takes a while ............

I'm not convinced though, I have a feeling this is router #6 that this phone line has fried. BT did some tinkering with the physical hardware at PNs request - despite it being a computerised renumbering of our phone line. Since then we got through 5 routers pretty quickly. PN refuse to have BT look at it and BT don't deal with PN issues so I'm getting pretty fed up now.
PN also don't like to acknowledge my complaints over the matter either.

Anyway after a bit of faffing about,gotback in/on............but have noticed me speed has dropped by about 2/3s.........but then if there's "trouble t mill".......................!
