Not complaining overmuch about lack of connection (mistakes will happen and Plus support and info comms is good), but what does surprise me is that in 2012 BT/Plus/whoever don't have equipment to tell them exactly where the fault occurred.
Like, you would imagine BT could isolate where the fault happened by remote sensors etc.
Ho hum.

Quote At approximately 11:10am a significant number of our broadband customers lost connection to the internet. We suspect this was caused by an outage on our supplier's network.
We apologise for the inconvenience and will update this thread as soon as we have any more information on this issue.

I'm currently using my Motorola xoom tablet with its own 3g connection to get internet. Knew it comes in handy even at home!
