Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

I had an IP change at 2:09 this morning,  The current line speed is now 40Mbps.  Can you set it back to 20Mbps please?

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Hi
I just signed up for the 80/20 trial. and last night a speed test showed i was getting 77 down and 16 up. so i was very impressed.
This morning however, it seems to have dropped back down to 37 down and 16 up.
I was just curious as to why the download speed has reverted back to how it was before i asked to be put on the trial, thanks for any help Smiley

It hasn't worked for me I'm afraid.  I've done a full reboot of modem & router.  BT speedtest says 39.11, Plusnet line speed is still set to 40.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Won't rebooting the modem make it highly probable that a new delta is generated which will set it to 40 again?
I'd have thought the most you should do is a disconnect/reconnect of the router only.

Yep!

Can we ask that if you're having this problem you post in here rather than raising a fault or contacting the support team, this is a trial and one of the terms of the trial was that support was via the forum! Thanks.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

When I checked the line speed it hadn't changed so I rebooted the router by itself first - that did nothing, so I tried rebooting the modem and router together.
So, what should I do when you reset it?   Please reset it again and I will follow your instructions.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Done, you shouldn't need to do anything. Within the next 10 minutes you may experience a few seconds downtime and then you'll get the speed change.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Back to 40 pn profile and only getting 13 meg now. Please reset and I will not reboot modem this time. Low speed worrying though.
Thanks
Update - every time reset to 20 it then reverts to 40 very quickly. My bt profile is 61 yet I can only achieve about 13 meg download - could this please be investigated. Low speed happens on pn 20 and 40 profiles.

Chris reset my profile to 20 at noon yesterday.    I'm still on the same IP but this morning it's back up to 40.  I wonder why.  Can I have another reset please?

As we've said previously this will *keep* happening each time we receive a line report for your connection. Please try to remember that this is a trial and therefore some bugs and issues are expected.
