At the end of today, that will be the first quarter of 2009 over… this is conerning to me, as the start of the year doesn’t seem to have been that long ago! Thankfully, with the clock change it’s now daylight when leaving the office which means my nightly game of ‘Frogger’ to get across the road outside the office can be completed in daylight.
Let’s see what we’ve been up to around the business today…
Good evening and welcome to the start of yet another week. Bad news I’m afraid – it’s still Monday. Unless you’re reading this tomorrow by which point your weekly trauma will have completed!

Hello, it’s Carl from Technical Support.
It feels like it has been a long week, and many people are looking forwards to the weekends, but don’t forget that we are always here. More…
OnLive is being billed as ‘the future of video games’, but what exactly is it? The concept and system were demonstrated at the GDC (Game Developers Conference) recently.
You can watch the video of this here, be warned it’s quite long at nearly an hour.
We’re pleased to announce that we have activated another 155Mbps segment of central bandwidth. Customers connecting to the new segment will access the Internet through the gateway known as pcl-ag03.
We’ve activated this extra capacity in line with the current budget and our projected growth in customer numbers.
When new capacity is added to the network, it takes time for the network to balance and for a representative proportion of the customer base to connect to the new segment. In order to speed up this process and help balance the platform to give the most benefit to customers, it may be necessary for us to temporarily disconnect a number of customers from the network. Should we take the decision to do this we will announce further details as a planned maintenance notice otherwise it may take up to a week for the new segment to be balanced.
We frequently review our plans for the purchase of additional capacity and will continue to do this based on projected customer numbers.
Kind Regards,
Chris Parr

It’s Thursday today, and this week has been strange for me – being back at work for an entire week for the first time in four weeks, and I feel I could do with a holiday again, even though it has been a VERY productive week.
Today brings us a better EOD turn out than I expected after such a great number of posts yesterday! Enjoy:
Why hello there readers!
Today’s been a bit of a weird one in Sunny Sheffield:
Today marks the start of my first full week in the office for the best part of 4 weeks, and it’s been a busy one. Some of my recent projects and work have entered testing, and Duffy and myself have spent some time trying to track down the source of a problem – we think we’ve cracked it too, so it just remains to fix it up.
