This is my first attempt at being the End of Day editor, but it is a short one today, so not too much can go wrong..

First off is James from the CSC:

“Good afternoon from Plusnet’s Customer Support Centre. There’s a new team started here today, right under the watchful eye of CSC camera 2, and you can see them all by going to our webcams  (during office hours!)

They’ll be helping mostly with our Sales and Provisioning, and so a warm welcome to them all.

Our top 5 calls today have been as follows:

  1. Faults raising, when there’s a problem with broadband we often get a call and this is what we’ve mostly been dealing with today.
  2. Sales calls, we were on GMTV this morning! The face from Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis was chatting about the launch of our new lighter usage Value product and Tech Support have been on hand helping out the Sales and Options Team when needed.
  3. Router configs, the Thomson routers and the Plusnet firmware have helped us reduce the volume of calls we get for assistance setting up, though some customers need a hand still and so we’ve been helping with these.
  4. Fault Updates, when a faults been raised it has to go through various diagnosis and our Faults team often liaise with BT and we often take calls where customers need an update. We do always SMS text message as often as possible.
  5. Email setups, after the Internet access itself, email is often the next most important part of a customer’s broadband connection, and so we’ve been helping setup email for different email clients.

Kind Regards from all in the CSC.

How polite. Next up is Mand from our Comms team:

“Evening, There’s only me and Bob left in the office as I write this (this is a complete lie _ PJ) , so I’ll have to wing it with regards to what everyone else was doing today. :)

So………….

- James wore a suit, we think this is amusing as we’ve never seen James in a suit before. He also took some sales calls, and whined a little about things I wasn’t listening to.

- Matt and Chris helped our CSC colleagues out by answering some tickets. They also both have a day off tomorrow, so no doubt much drinking will be done.

- Bob is getting more frustrated by the day ‘cos he broke his laptop, and it’s taking a while to fix. He’s also been working on a particularly tricky email problem today so he’s not a happy bunny.

- I was working on change controls and problems. Amidst laughing at James and taking some sales calls also.

Anyway, enough about us. What did YOU do today?

Personally, I wrote a new gaming blog, which you can read and comment on by clicking on “Blogs” over there in the right hand corner. By all means, let me know what you think.

There you go, my first blog finished without any issues. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did editing it.

Bye!
