Just a quick EOD today with 2 entries. Hopefully there will be better turn out tomorrow!
Alex from the Faults Team
Another busy on the faults team being the first day of the week. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Keith and I have been working through our new faults pools which are mostly faults that have been raised recently or have not yet been raised to our supplier for testing. We started the day with a fair few to deal after the weekend but are finishing the day with our work flow almost clear.
Richard has then been dealing with home phone faults today which involves testing lines once an issue is raised and then contacting BT Openreach if a fault is found to get the fault repaired.
The rest of the team (Tony, Alex, Andy, Adam, Tom and Brad) have been picking up the faults which are not resolved once they have been raised to our suppliers for diagnostics. Lots of calls to BT have been made to chase the progress of faults and acquire updates for you.
All in all a very productive day in faults, hopefully you all have a fault free week!
Mand from the Comms Team
Monday’s are never fun.
Today was no exception to this.
The only person who’ll disagree today will be James, who is currently taking a whole week off (and the rest of us aren’t at all envious, honestly).
Bob’s been slightly less whiny today, but still cannot be described as cheerful. He’s been shoulder deep in the ‘Port comms yet again.
Matt’s been working on the next issue of our Newsletter, and a bit of taskwork. He also did a stint on reception earlier, much to the amusement of the rest of us.
Chris isn’t here (he’s gone home early as he’s on call), but I know he was in the forums earlier, and working on the customer satisfaction survey.
I’ve been working on problems, change controls, and sorting my task list for the week ahead.
Today’s link is something that’s had Bob simultaneously confused and outraged all day.
Personally I think it’s rather cool, but all Bob can say is ‘Where would you put the star?!’. Ahem, indeed.
Have a good one.
